our core values

Everyone is welcome

  • IInnsbruck is the state capital of Tyrol and an international city of education and sports in the heart of Europe. It is a place where people from different cultures meet.
  • At “Kirche im Kino,” we approach all people openly, respectfully, and with love—regardless of their nationality, religious or social background, age, or views.
  • We share the life-changing message of the gospel in a way that is understandable to the people of our time. In doing so, we in no way diminish the "impetus" or "challenge" inherent in the gospel message itself, but rather boldly emphasize it.
  • The Bible is our standard

  • The Bible is the binding standard for our thinking, beliefs and actions.
  • The implementation of biblical standards in our lives can only be achieved through a continuous process of learning and change.
  • Therefore, in addition to sound biblical teaching (through sermons and courses), shared reflection on the Bible's statements in small groups, in pairs and threes, and personal Bible reading are of great importance.
  • Christ is the center of our lives

  • The gospel allows us as Christians to live by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, not driven by a pious performance mindset.
  • Therefore, we are centered on Jesus Christ in everything we do.
  • In response to the grace God has given us, we honor God with our entire lives—in word and deed.
  • Serving others defines us

    • Our fellowship within the church and between churches is a visible expression of God’s love. That’s why we share life in our community by
      • helping each other with practical matters
      • encouraging and correcting one another
      • solving problems together
      • praying together in fellowship
    • We reflect the love of the Creator by offering support in life to people outside our church who face inner and outward needs. In doing so, we cooperate with a variety of institutions and groups that work for the good of the city. We feel a special connection with Christians from other evangelical churches and ministries.

    Growth happens through evangelism

  • We strive for continuous missionary growth through the living testimony of all our church members.
  • Intentional church planting initiated by the mother church is for us a way to make this growth possible. It is essential that Kirche im Kino and the churches it has founded remain closely connected through joint events and mutual support.
  • We support the growth of the worldwide body of Christ by promoting mission work in other countries and by sending out missionaries.
